The White Horse Chorale, Players, and Dancers consist of volunteer performers from the San Francisco Bay Area who have performed in Assisi, Italy, Washington, D.C., and a wide variety of venues in San Francisco: Grace Cathedral, Mission Dolores Basilica, the National Shrine of Saint Francis, and Union Square. In the wider Bay Area, the performers have been hosted at Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland, the Rossmoor retirement community in Walnut Creek, the United Methodist Church in Fairfield, and interfaith concerts such as at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church in Antioch. They have also performed at churches in Orinda, Moraga, Pleasant Hill, and Concord.
Members of the White Horse Chorale journeyed to Assisi in 2011 and performed at two sites associated with Francis – Santa Maria Maggiore and San Damiano – during celebrations concurrent with the International Day of Prayer convened by Pope Benedict XVI. In April 2013, the singers performed a reprise of this concert at the National Shrine of Saint Francis in San Francisco at the invitation of the rector.
The White Horse Youth Chorale consists of current students and alumni of The Meher Schools, a private nonsectarian arts and academic school for kindergarten through fifth grade in Lafayette, CA.
In recent years, members of the White Horse Youth Chorale have performed with the White Horse Chorale at many of their San Francisco and interfaith concerts, at numerous convalescent homes in Contra Costa County, and at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek.
